ECCENTRICITY WITHIN UNIFORMITY

WHAT
A collection of modular garment components that reference uniforms.

WHY
While society encourages individuality, the reality is that many of us live, eat and dress the same way. Sarah Brunnhuber explores the theme of uniformity and eccentricity by introducing a uniform into everyday life: garments without rules.

HOW
The collection comprises four consistent shapes in fabrics that reference uniforms: plain crisp cottons in blues and whites, rigid navy blues, a static beige. Opposing fabrics highlight the contrast between uniformity and individuality: dark and lightened denims, liquid silks, bold embroidery. A system of buttons and holes connects all pieces, which can be worn anywhere, with any other piece.

QUOTE
A clothing system that encourages eccentricity within uniformity.
