BLISS.BIS
WHAT
A display of ‘bliss’, represented by the iconic image of the Windows XP desktop background, of lush hills, blue skies and white clouds, as unpredictable textures digitally printed on fabrics.
WHY
Mainstream representations of landscapes usually depict a perfectly controlled nature, without room for unpredictability. Millie Herpin therefore encourages disobedience to break free from this restrictive culture.
HOW
By questioning our relationship with common objects, Millie challenges the established criteria of what good design means: Introducing excitement for those who find perfection mundane, and seek authenticity. ‘Bliss.bis’ immerses the viewer in this dreamlike space.
