WHY
Fascinated by the purpose of analogue systems in a digital world, Jordan Morineau wanted to create objects that highlight the beauty of mechanisms based on gears and weights. Each of his lamps showcases the mechanism that makes it work.

HOW
Jordan created two types of lamps: one works with ballast, the other with its own weight. In both cases, gravity is exploited to put pressure on a gear, making it rotate and powering the LEDs. Rotating the structure restores the parts to their original position so that they can descend again and power the LEDs.
