PAPER PULP PRINTER

WHAT
The world’s first 3D printer that uses paper pulp.

WHY
There is a growing market for 3D printing on demand. Printing your own or existing designs is now widely accessible. Apart from some expensive exceptions, the print material is almost always plastic. Beer Holthuis was surprised to discover that there are no real sustainable materials or printers on the market.

WHY
Using the mountain of paper we waste: 80 kg per person per year! The pulp in Beer’s printer needs little natural binder, which makes the products endlessly recyclable. The printed objects exploit the possibilities and beauty of the technique. Tactility, bold lines and print speed result in distinctive shapes.

QUOTE
Printed paper is surprisingly strong.
