WHAT
This project explores a way to bridge between the differing Eastern and Western approaches to life.

HOW
Evi-Lie van Heck designed three objects that represent a place of worship in the West. The materials, form and function are inspired by Indian Yogic culture. An explanatory film reveals how to use the objects while also providing context about the design and spiritual meaning.

WHY
Evi-Lie was struck by how restless we are in the West, and by the fact that we are not always aware of our spirituality. In addition, the relationship we have with objects is usually based on consumption. This project aims to show how we can use materiality for a spiritual purpose.
