WHAT
An optimistic movement inspired by ‘the fool’ of times gone by. It’s all about taking life a little less seriously, one step at a time.

WHY
Historically, the fool or jester had a specific role, balancing between amusement and criticism. He was an outsider, cherished for challenging social conventions at the centre of power: the king’s court. Where has the fool gone now? Pauline Wiersema wants to bring him back.

HOW
With a series of possible interventions, including a Ministry of Fools and giant orange letters spelling out ‘HUH’: a visual sign to shake things up with the universal word signifying confusion. You can also start with yourself and learn how to play the fool again.
