Last Saturday 22nd September the renovated and extended Stedelijk Museum was officially opened by Queen Beatrix. Design Academy Eindhoven is well represented in the new suite of galleries dedicated to the Stedelijk’s important collection of industrial design, graphic design and applied arts.
Among the highlights on view are projects from DAE alumni Maarten Baas, Piet Hein Eek, Richard Hutten, Hella Jongerius and Job Smeets. Work by Christien Meindertsma and The Stone Twins (Heads of Man and Communication) are on show in the expanded graphic design gallery.
