A SWEATER TO SHOW THE ENDURING MEANING OF FABLES

In fables foxes are sly, ants are diligent, and wolves are mean. Today these animals have disappeared from our close environment, but we still recognise the different characters. Laury van Eerd has designed Fabelachtig; five pieces of clothing that visualise the characters of the most popular animals from these fables. The sweater with the face of a fox, for example, shows the animal’s sly nature, and the scarf that stops you from moving represents the frog who wants so many things that he explodes. Van Eerd has photographed her garments in places around the city that fit in with the animals’ characters.
