EAT OUTDOORS IN ALL SEASONS

Cooking dinner, eating, drinking with friends outside: it is what summer is all about. But before you know it, autumn showers will have everyone running back inside. Guus Alders has found a way of stretching out the summer ritual of staying outside around the fire, taking his inspiration from the traditional huts of the nomadic Mongolians. Alders hut Extending the Season is a light construction of different tubes with woollen cloths to stretch between them that will protect you from the wind and the rain. The central point is a hanging ceramic fireplace that can also be used as a barbecue. Smell the damp, hear the rain, but keep warm and dry by the fire; the outdoor season has been extended into late in the year.
