A CHAIR TO MAKE WHISPERS MORE BEWITCHING

People who make the most noise generally receive the most attention. But quite often, the best stories will come from people from whom you least expect it. Denise van der Sar has come up with a silent refuge amidst the cacophony of contemporary communication tools. Her Whispering Chairs create a place where people can tell each other extraordinary, bewitching, or intimate stories in hushed voices. Not by using a digital translation, but quite simply in the old-fashioned way: by displacing airwaves. The arch made of laminated cardboard will lead the airwaves from one person to the other. Even whispered messages will reach the other one without needing any amplification. The Whispering Chair offers a new platform for timid voices and intimate conversations.
