AN EMERGENCY SHELTER WITH SPACE AND COMFORT

This box contains everything for a decent roof over your head in an emergency. The tents used by the Red Cross and the UN in disaster areas often fail to last long enough, and more importantly, they are small. Shelter Box offers more space, comfort and a perspective. The box’s iron frame becomes the ridge of the roof; sturdy bamboo sticks form the frame. Sheets of corrugated metal, wooden floor panels and synthetic foundation units will do the rest. The shelter can be easily assembled and disassembled and it is sustainable. And for those who have no home to return to, this temporary shelter can be extended to become a permanent dwelling.
