Wooden Touch

A physical, reassuring sensation: that is what stroking wood is. Like how some people hold on to themselves when they feel angry or scared. Like stroking a cat. A familiar feeling, with a rhythm to it. That is how wood can be stroked. Solid material, shaped with a milling cutter, engraved really, resulting in an intensely soft finish. Carsten Lemme can imagine his Wooden Touch in hotel lobbies or dental surgeries. The places where people sit around waiting and have the time to feel invited by the wood to engage in a little meditation and exploration.
