Play Along

Who didn’t dream about becoming a pop star when they were young? Playing music is wonderful, but it’s becoming harder for children to get the chance to learn. There are fewer music classes at schools and subsidies are being slashed. Veronique van Oorschot developed the campaign Play Along to get children excited about music. Posters show how contemporary stars such as Lady Gaga, John Mayer and Pharrell Williams learned to play an instrument when they were children. In the accompanying guerrilla campaign, music instruments are placed on the street in random places, inviting you to play them. Play Along and discover your talents. “There’s a rock star in all of us,” says Van Oorschot.
