Composition Light

Instead of approaching light as a by-product, Miya Kondo wanted to showcase light in its own right. She created a set of five light objects in clean shapes and varying sizes. This Composition Light can be arranged in infinite ways. Tilting a single element changes the light quality completely and casts different shadows on the surrounding walls, visually altering the dimensions of the interior. In this way, Kondo illustrates the dynamic force of light as a mutable spatial object, inviting the viewer to sit back and watch.
