Formerly dedicated solely to the practicalities of keeping clean, bathrooms tend to have a rather ‘cold’ ambiance. Yet this is where we now do so much more than have a wash; it’s where we prepare for the day ahead, mentally and physically. Paola Sabourin believes that these ‘caring’ moments deserve extra attention and a more intimate setting. Inspired by 16th-century dressing rooms, she developed a vanity and sink unit to relocate these rituals to the tranquil sanctuary of the bedroom. ‘Composure’ is a range of freestanding furniture with the sink, storage and mirror arranged in varying compositions, depending on different needs.
