‘Iota’ is a stool created to showcase the hidden beauty that lies at the level of the molecule and beyond. A surface that feels soft to the touch may be constructed of millions of tiny crystals. An object we perceive as solid can consist of a multitude of elements no thicker than a human hair. By enlarging the scale of these nanostructures, which we humans cannot see with the naked eye, ‘Iota’ highlights the intricate and complex compositions at the foundations of the world around us.
