The Wildsound Hunter

In this visual era, Lucandrea Baraldi reminds us of the pleasure of listening. Meet the heroic ‘Wildsound Hunter’. His hunt starts with putting on his Blind Goggles to shut down any visual input and heighten acoustic awareness. Amongst his weapons and traps are Long Range, a parabolic microphone, and Melee, a contact microphone. These can pick up any interesting sound and record it. When the hunt is over, the Capsules with the most precious finds are displayed under glass cases, playing the captured tunes. This set of tools, wearables and objects allows us to redevelop an ear for the beautiful array of sounds that surround us daily.
