Collective Club Scenography: Club Lucht

Alwin Beumer has come up with a new clubbing concept that invites visitors to design and control their own party. Breaking down a dance event into its constituent elements, Alwin devised ‘Club Lucht’ as a number of mobile, inflatable archetypal fixtures, such as a helium-filled glitter ball and a moveable DJ booth. Organisers can compile their own perfect experience from a number of these. The concept also strongly encourages interaction between partygoers, as, for instance, the mobile DJ booth doesn’t work unless two people operate it simultaneously using their smartphones.
