Gender and sexuality often cannot be defined in clear lines, nor should they need to be. ‘Hedon’ by Josh Woolford, is a bid to explore alternative lifestyles through various channels. Hedon magazine is a celebration of sexual diversity and a platform to encourage discussion and understanding through images, stories and interviews. Extending this principle to clothing, he created ‘SAFEWORD’ – a collection that brings fashion and fetishism together as an introduction into the world of BDSM play. Fragility and strength, comfort and discomfort, femininity and masculinity all merge together in a minimalist aesthetic to express the scope of human pleasure.
