Soilid

In touch with raw earth which can be baked into imperfect, expressive and richer tactilities. ‘Soilid’ is a new material made from combining soil, fungi and other natural materials like sugar. The ingredients are measured by volume/weight and mixed together creating a chemical reaction that allows the earth to rise like dough to double its original size. The ‘Soilid’ can even be shaped and molded in a plaster or wood mold to create any desired shape. After baking, the structure becomes solid and strong enough to be sanded, sawn and drilled.
