WHY
While greatly affecting our behaviour online and offline, the interfaces that mediate our digital surroundings are not transparent enough, believes Martina Huynh. We have too little control over them. We are treated as users of services rather than as citizens with a democratic say in the systems we are increasingly reliant upon. It is time to take direct action.
