Sea You There
What: An eight-minute video offers unexpected solutions for sea waste.
Why: The huge amounts of trash drifting in the oceans are often felt as too big a problem to tackle. ‘Sea You There’ is a fresh way to raise awareness for the problem, helping us to think differently about the issue.
How: The story of two researchers looking into the myth of left and right shoes washing up on different shores, leads to redesigns of products most commonly found among ocean trash. What if we designed plastic bottles, lighters and plastic bags so that they will wash ashore, instead of endlessly drifting around in the ocean?
“Wouldn’t it be better if we make products suitable for throwing them in the sea?”
