Fluid Boundary
What: A collection of objects with blurry and fluid boundaries. All original boundaries are hidden under soft textiles.
Why: We all have different boundaries in dealing with different people, also depending on the cultural context. We need continuous communication to discover our boundaries. In her work Yanjin Wu transposes this this state of undefined boundaries to objects as a metaphor. Their hidden shape and function requires the same exploration as is needed to discover the boundaries between two humans.
How: The public will have to explore the objects that are covered in textiles by touching them. The interaction with these objects allows people to create their own functions and context for the objects.
“Everyone has boundaries, yet these are never fixed, but fluid”
