New Office

What: A range of tools that provide improved working conditions and a distinguished identity for the growing numbers of freelancers in semi-public spaces.

Why: Freelancing has gained popularity, even though it misses the benefits of employed work. Lacking an office, many freelancers open their laptops at coffee bars, trying to get the job done in the public environment. ‘New Office’ offers help with claiming their space and boosting their importance.

How: A visual identity, with a playful reference to the traditional office, makes freelancers stand out from the crowd. A fake shirt for video calls, a reversible vest with a ‘free’ and a ‘busy’ side, or a barrier to mark the working area highlights their position in a fun way.
