You can ……………. in Exhibitions

What: A museum shop that challenges exhibition etiquette, encouraging visitors to go their own way instead of trying to follow the unspoken rules.

Why: Many visitors of exhibitions have the same behavioural questions that they don’t dare to ask. Take, for example, Tristan Roques’ question #3: Can I start just anywhere?’. Or question #31: Should I tell everyone what my favourite is? And what about question #68: ‘How close should I stand to the work?’

How: His museum shop marks the beginning of your visit (rather than the usual end), with tools that propose silly but significant answers. Pick up a dice to decide where to start, or a moveable distance guide to determine your position. Worried about museum fatigue? Then bring a pillow tote bag to nap on.
