Spring is an exhibition co-hosted by Premsela and Capital D during Salone del Mobile at Studio Zeta in Milan. DAE alumna and curator Miriam van der Lubbe selected 15 designers who got their start in Eindhoven. Their work will appear alongside designs by young colleagues and established predecessors they admire. The exhibition was previously on view in Eindhoven during Dutch Design Week 2011.
Spring is the first exhibition of Premsela in Milan, also they organized a mini-symposium in cooperation with the Vitra Design Museum on April 18. This was an international symposium entitled “Never Mind the Mainstream”, about Industry and Experiment in Design. DAE chair executive board Anne Mieke Eggenkamp joined this mini-symposium. The event took place till 5 pm at the Milan Triennale. Participants include DAE alumni Jurgen Bey and Hella Jongerius, Aaron Betsky and Konstantin Grcic as well as representatives from institutions such as Philips Lighting.
