Alumni Boaz Cohen and Sayaka Yamamoto presents the third chapter of their Origin series, titled ‘Contrast’ during Salone del Mobile. The project consists of Stools, Side-Tables, Fruit-Bowls and Serving-Trays they have developed in collaboration with Meitheal Mara in Cork City, Ireland. This is the third instalment in their Origin series of projects, working closely with skilled craftspeople to develop collections based on their techniques. Last year they presented part two 'Balance' and in 2010 their first Origin project resulted in 'Join'.
Also they introduce another new project ‘The Interlacer’ this year during Salone del Mobile. This will be part of the Another Terra exhibition by IN Residence, along works by DAE alumni Maarten De Ceulaer and Formafantasma. Including Tomás Alonso, Pieke Bergmans, Julien Carretero, Tomáš Gabzdil Libertiny, Pepe Heykoop, Lanzavecchia + Wai, Philippe Malouin, Jo Meesters, Minale-Maeda, Mischer’traxler, Liliana Ovalle, Studio Besau Marguerre and Anke Weiss. This exhibition is curated by Barbara Brondi and Marco Rainó.
