How does art education relate to the reality and career perspectives of artists? How do curricula in art education guide students into a professional career? On May 30 a OBK-symposium will be held at Design Academy Eindhoven to discuss these questions. OBK (Overleg Beeldende Kunst) is an initiative by all sector institutes and academies for visual arts and design. They focus on this matter by proposing renewed connections between study and art profession. Besides the academies institutes like Mondriaan Fonds, Premsela and the Virtual Platform have gained knowledge about the future of art education.
The first results and insights will be shared and discussed during this symposium according tot the following themes:
