It was that time of year again: Design Academy Eindhoven took part in the Salone del Mobile. For those who were not able to see everything (or who would like to relive it) we created four videos in collaboration with Alexandre Humbert (MA Contextual Design ’13).

The four videos highlight our own exhibition GEO-DESIGN: Alibaba. From here to your home and three other exhibitions during Salone that included projects of DAE Alumni. Dissolving Views by Morph, Broken Nature: Design Takes on Human Survival at the XXII Triennale di Milano and The Circle by the Dutch Invertuals.

According to Alexandre, the high density of design shows in Milan is generating a frustrating feeling of missing the “must see” exhibitions. You never really have the time in those five days to dive in-depth into this amount of content, you just get a glimpse of what actually is or could be, using the phone as a tool to capture this moment. The series "a DAE insider's view of" reconstructs this high-density feeling by videos shot with a phone to showcase DAE alumni works in different contexts.
