STUDIO FORMAFANTASMA

BOTANICA

Botanica is the latest project by Studio FormaFantasma, commissioned by Plart, an Italian
foundation dedicated to scientific research and technological innovation in the recovery,
restoration and conservation of works of art and design produced in plastic. Maria Pia Incutti,
founder of Plart and Marco Petroni, curator of the project, commissioned the studio to create
their own personal interpretation of polymeric materials.
MIGRATION
Nodus, via Delio Tessa 1

The project Migration is the result of a commission from the Italian rug brand Nodus. From the
wide variety of techniques, Studio FormaFantasma has chosen to work with needlepoint, one of
the last techniques still produced in Europe. Each of the three rugs from the Migration collection
has been produced entirely by hand in Portugal with an average embroidery time of a month per
carpet.
TALKING TEXTILES

A group exhibition, curated by Lidewij Edelkoort and Rossana Orlandi, in which also Migration is
on display.
DOMESTICA
Dilmos Gallery, piazza San Marco 1
12-17 April (10-21 hours)
Commissioned by Dilmos Gallery, the low chair Domestica is an investigation of rural craft and
its archetypes. The reference is to the Gerla Basket, a container worn like a backpack, which
farmers use to collect harvested cereals. The design of the seat refers to a small stool used as a
support to help take off the Gerla basket once it is full.
HARVESTING NATURE
Flat Design, Massimo Alba, via Brera 1
12-17 April (10-21 hours)
Flat Design is the new home collection tablecloths of 100 % linen Masters of Linen. The creative
imprints of international designers and art directors challenging themselves in experimenting with
textile as a bi-dimensional surface like a sheet of paper, adding their personal and poetic touch,
represent the main features. FormaFantasma have translated on linen the main themes of their
revelation project, Autarchy.
