The research team of Incubator2.5 within the Creative Industry Scientific Programme is proud to present the Super-Maker at Dutch Design Week 2014, exploring possible applications of 2.5D printing in architecture and investigating what role creatives can take on in determining new applications for this technology developed by Océ, a Canon company.

The exhibition is shown in the Research & Reporting studio on the 4th floor of Design Academy Eindhoven, where the team will also set up daily conversations on design research as a part of Emma Radio. On Tuesday 21st of October they will discuss the topic of 'Design for business innovation' with Merijn Neeleman (head of design at Océ), Giulia Calabretta (Delft University of Technology), Karianne Rygh (Research Associate at Design Academy Eindhoven), Bas Raijmakers and Danielle Arets (Readership in Strategic Creativity, Design Academy Eindhoven).

The exhibition (produced by Giada Ganassin and Giuditta Vendrame) showcases the design research exploration of 2.5D printing following a 'Thinking Through Making' approach, from the initial phases of leaning the 2.5D design process, to further investigations into both digital and physical architecture. By involving experts within the creative fields in addition to experts on the technology at Océ, the Research Associates Karianne Rygh, Cynthia Hathaway and Design Research Intern Mikaela Steby Stenfalk, have conducted interviews, workshops and activities within the context of the Super-Maker, producing new tangible tools for discussion on the potential of 2.5D printing. The pieces being shown are therefore to act as an inspiration and trigger for further conversations between existing, but also new and unexpected stakholders, so that we together, can map out new opportunities for business innovation.
