Karianne Rygh

 

Karianne Rygh is a Norwegian product designer and design researcher based in the Netherlands. Karianne graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2012 with the Master thesis project ‘Choice Within the Making’, a design manual for furniture-making in prison, where the production of furniture becomes an informal tool fostering reflective thinking among inmates. With a background in product/furniture design and design futuring as well as several years experience working for governmental institutions, Karianne investigates the roles designers can take on within complex societal or organizational contexts.

Karianne Rygh is a Research Associate in the PSS 101 programme within CRISP, a project aiming to create a framework and tools for networks producing product service systems, as well as the Incubator 2.5 research project, exploring new applications of 2.5D printing within architecture.
